Hi,
My sister very kindly bought me an iSight for Xmas/birthday. We live on opposite sides of the world but like to keep in touch and this seemed like the perfect way. Hooooooowwwwever, we can't get the thing working. No matter what I do iChatAV always says that the conference wasn't started because I didn't respond.
The tech bits:
Me: iSight using iChat AV on Tiger (latest update) behind a Netgear WGT634U wireless router
Sis: iSight using iChatAV on Jaguar or Panther (can't remember) behind a Speedtouch 716
I can connect to the test Apple video calls as can my Sis. I think I'm the one with a problem though. She gets an error message saying I've got a problem with port 5060. OSX firewall is off. Netgear firewall has been on and off. I'm on the latest router firmware but the port triggering seems a little flaky and won't let me select a range and individual ports to trigger based on outgoing traffic on port 5678 from me. My router supports UPnP which from the internet would appear to be the solution to all my problems but does nothing. Sis has tried as well...
Not sure what other information I can give apart from the fact that iChat doesn't think I'm responding and it seems to be a port triggering/UPnP related issue.
Any ideas????
Thanks in advance.
