iSight issue

I was trying to disassemble my AirPort Extreme, and I wanted to send someone a picture of my cuts from doing that. Screwdrivers are sharp!


Anyways, I decided to use the handy iSight. Well, at least I thought I would. I opened photo booth and noticed my iSight fade to black. I saw the bright image fade to black. Could you help?

This also happens in iChat or any other app that uses the iSight.

i had a similar experience last night with my isight. the green light would turn on but the screen was black, did this with photobooth and ichat. did some research and read somewhere to reset SMC or something like that by holding the power button down for 10 seconds while it powers down. Tried it and now my isight works
