iSight on MB/MBP

Are these pretty decent quality when talking to people through iChat? I have messed around with it at the apple store with photobooth and it seems pretty nice, but how is it over the internet through iChat? Is it as good as a quality as when using it with photobooth? Is there lag? I plan on using this to keeping in touch with my family/friends since I am off to grad school in norcal and my family/friends are from socal. Thanks for any replies.

Yea it is decent quality.. depends on how fast your internet connection is.

THey are pretty good. Better than most builtins.

I think iChat is pretty inferior when compared to Skype with the 640x480 resolution mod.

But the actual iSight works fine for video conferencing.
