as I have learned, the iSight cant be used in msn messenger for mac... however because of bootcamp, can the iSight be used for webcam using the windows version of msn messenger? this would be great because the isight has such better quality compared to the webcams all my friends have, so being able to video chat with them would be great...

So can the iSight be used for webcam using bootcamp?

iSight works fine in aMSN, NOT in Windows.

The iSight works with aMSN for OS X, an open-source client for the MSN network. (See another thread on this, where I post my experiences with aMSN and the iSight.)

But, the iSight will NOT work in Windows. The FireWire iSight doesn't have Windows drivers, and the built-in USB iSights of the MacBook (and Pro,) and iMac cause a blue screen of death when you try to access them. (Windows sees it as a camera, but it doesn't work.)

In fact, here you go. A picture, and a video (692KB MPEG-1 digicam movie) of aMSN on my MacBook Pro webcamming with 'Windows Live Messenger' on my PC notebook.
