iSkin for 15" MBP

I've read some previous posts about the iSkin from a couple months ago and thought I would revisit the idea. Looking for a nice keyboard cover that doesn't affect typing. I had one for my Dell and I would have to press the keys harder in order to get the key pressed. Is that the case with an iSkin? Also, how does the cover stay on the laptop? Again, the Dell one had glue on the outer edges which didn't allow you to take on and off.

Also, is it necessary to get wrist pad covers? I don't wear watches so I don't fear scratches, but does that area really wear down fast??

I have an iSkin for my Macbook. I don't find that it makes the keys harder to press at all. In fact, I am so used to it now I find it harder to type with it off.

I definitely recommend the product.

I had an iSkin for my MacBook, and though it affected typing, I got used to it very fast--though I suppose some people would not like the different feel. It's so personal... It fit very nicely, you could barely tell it was there, only a slight opaque qaulity to the keys, and did it'd job very well--protection deluxe...!

I took it back however as it started to turn brown in some places--very weird. The replacement unit did the same thing, making two of them to get funky colors...!

I bought from the Apple store so returns were easy... Maybe they all don't do this (or it was body chemistry with me and the silicon?), but I hated the look of a dicolored keyboard, like a smoker had been smearing it with nictoneous gunk over the vowel keys...!

Is the invisibleShield worth it? I got the black iskin for the keyboard. Is that good enough? How easy is it to scratch the MBP?

Macbooks are somewhat easy to scratch. MBP's are pretty hard to scratch. I've had my Macbook for about 4 months, and you can see little hairline scratches (and some bigger ones) all over it, from taking it in and out of my bag.

I had my old Powerbook for close to a year, and all it got was one 1" (easily visible) scratch on the bottom. I guess there was some sand or something on a table I used it on. I bitched, decided I rarely see the bottom, and went on with life. Oh and one time I nicked/slightly dented the corner of my PB by it hitting on part of my chem lab drawer (it was a thick metal drawer). Don't think even the invisible shield would have stopped that. And I do have an Invisible shield, for my Nano.

Shield as in iSkin or invisible skin? I think both are worth it. iSkin protects against spills, dirt, gunk and oil from getting onto/into the keyboard while the invisible skin protects from bumps and scratches. Well worth the investment IMO.
