I’m just curious. Isn’t there already a ARM version of Microsoft office in the form of Microsoft office for iPad which could work on Mac m1? Or will it be better if Microsoft offered a proper m1 version of office to work on Mac m1?

To Access the Beta version of Office with native Apple Silicon support you must have purchased office through Microsoft rather than the Mac App Store, as the updates come via Apple's update mechanism that does not allow beta versions at this time.
