.iso CD-ROM hidden files

Ok...so, here's the deal. I made an ISO CD-ROM with Toast and made files hidden. The burned CD worked as expected in a Windows environment (7 & 10). Then I made an .iso image file of the disc to be burnt by a business partner (uploaded to google drive) and when burnt it shows the hidden files on macOS and Windows..."what the heck", thought and downloaded the .iso file and burnt it myself (Disk Utility)...and yup! The files are now longer hidden...What gives!? Does anyone know what's the deal..?
