I have a cMP 5,1 running 10.12.6
hex core 3.2, 5870, 48 RAM, Apple SSD boot, ...
I have installed OS from scratch not that long ago.
Use Safari for 90% of my web browsing.
Computer feel sluggish. and when I say so I mean typing this has delays
I'm looking at Activity monitor and I'm at idle 94%, RAM used 25GB
I have a TON of tabs open in the web browser. That's my workflow.
My current uptime is shy over 3 days.
Sometime ago I used an app that's like OnyX and then some. An easy GUI interace to clean things up and tweak some settings (plists).
The app creator page has white and red in their logos etc.
For the life of me I can't remember the app name.
Sometimes (but not anytime recently) I run some virtual machines but it's light work.
I remember years ago around 10.10 I could have this rig up for months and months, one time was way over 6 months of uptime without any slowdown.
