Hello everyone , gonna make this short and sweet because I am putting up my Iphone 12 Pro Max for sale ( bought the 13 pro max ) and since the first minute that I bought this iphone 12 I placed a very thick and resistant case on it , shock resistant that covers all the areas of the phone.

To my surprise after I took it last night out of it's pretty worn out case I start to notice a small hairline crack ? it looks like someone poked the edge of the phone with a needle and a 1 mm material fell off which is insane because this phone was never dropped , scratched or even removed from it's case.

Now I start to wonder how well I scoped it when I originally unboxed it and placed it in the case that I couldn't notice this very tiny fabrication defect ? The picture doesn't quite 100% catch the depth/size of it but you really need to stare at it from nose ground to see it.

Thoughts on how could this have happened ?

It’s likely that came out that way from factory and you haven’t noticed it until now. I know there is a poster here who had similar chip/grinding-like on the stainless steel out of the box.
