Having an issue where I'm logged into my iPhone and iPad with my iCloud account, and my wife is logged into her iPhone and iPad with her iCloud account. I've shared two calendars to her, and she can see my calendars and all my events in my two calendars on her devices as expected. She has shared her one calendar to me, and I can see the calendar on my devices, but I cannot see any of the events. Only if she goes in and edits an existing event does it then show up on my device (or if she creates a new one). I cannot see any of her existing events however. I've checked every setting I can think of, but cannot seem to figure out why she can see all mine by default, but I can only see hers once she edits them. All the calendars are set to allow editting, and there is nothing different settings wise between mine sent to her, and hers sent to me. Ive even tried remove the invite, and resending the invite from her to me. Still the same result.

Any thoughts? I really don't want to go into every event on her device and edit them, just to get them to show up.

My only suggestion is to logout of iCloud on your device. When prompted choose Delete calendars, then restart the device. Login again and this should allow her shared calendar to be created/downloaded.

I tried this as well, with no luck. But I believe I figured out what the issue was. My wifes calendar was populated using the iCal import function, so all her events were imported from another iCal she had. It seems that there may be some glitch with iCloud, where when sharing a calendar, it will only share events that were physically created/edited by hand. Once I edited an event, it would show on my devices. I then tested this theory by creating a fake calendar on my device, shared it to my wife's account, and then imported some events. They didn't show either. Once I edited some of the fake accounts events, they showed.

So, unfortunately, the only way to fix the issue was to open up every event on her calendar, and edit it (just put a " " in the notes), and it then carried each event over as it should.

I'll have to log this as an issue with Apple.

Hopefully, this helps someone else who has this trouble.
