OK: don't get me started on why my mum prefers outlook (using VM ware- windows on Mac) over apple's apps but I have a problem:

Mum uses icloud to push calendars between her iphone / ipad / Mac (Windows on mac). On her windows outlook, she has two profiles: one personal with her personal email (not iCloud) and one for work (they use an outlook exchange server if your wondering).

She would like her iCloud calendars synced with her ISP email profile. When I turn on the calendar option in the iCloud control panel the calendars sync to the work profile: I have no control over this. As Kim tries to keep her work and private life relatively seperate, she doesnt want her personal calendar with her work one.

I have asked her if she wants to use iCal, but she would much rather stay with Windows and Outlook 2010.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks! #

Looks like that's the way iCloud "works" with Outlook 2010. Instead of behaving like a separate account it just sort of takes over everything.

It's an unusable situation for folks like your mum or anyone on any computer running Windows/Outlook with an exchange account.

The native Outlook 2011 does not have this problem. If her employer is willing and has a current-enough version of Exchange, she may want to ask for it.

To the OP: Be aware that there are other issues and considerations to deal with in Outlook 2011. It isn't a mirror image of the Windows version of Outlook.
