Issue with lag on the X only with using Wallpapers

So I have a problem and hope someone here can help me, I have moaned a lot about Lag on my X but I have nailed the issue, for some reason if I use any jpg wallpaper it makes my Lag swiping thru app page so laggy but as soon as I use a default apple wallpaper from apple it goes away and the UI becomes supper smooth and zero lag... why does wallpapers cause this im tried cropping them but any download wallpaper causes this issue, any help?
 
I don't have a solution to offer, sorry, but I can't say that I see the same effect on my X. Just tried it with both a .jpg and default wallpaper, and there's no difference.

Do you happen to have a video comparing the two? I'm intrigued.

Yeah any normal wallpaper on photos if i choose wallpaper and crop then it happenes but using apples own walpapers is fine im gonna film a video to show this and upload soon

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I noticed that as well, and reach the same conclusion as you. Im using a the black wallpaper.

Here's a thread describing what might be the same issue on the 7 Plus. It contains several wallpapers that are problem-free. Maybe some of those will work for you and at least give you more wallpaper options.

Whats the logic behind this its 2018 and we have the most powerful phone that still lags and a wallpaper can fix it what does the wallapers make it lag there jpg l also tried png and same
 
Issue could be that non-Apple
Wallpapers have sizes that don’t match the phones resolution which makes the phone have to process the parallex effect more.
 
I am also seeing this on an iphone 7 plus. The above thread has helped me, the wallpapers provided there are really improving the scrolling on home screen. Strange issue for sure, especially that there are not more people noticing this effect.

I never use parallex effects, what should only certain wallpapers work

They noticed but they don't care as long they can post to Facebook and Instagram, that's the case of my girlfriend.
