Running the latest beta of Catalina and recently started having issues with Messages. iPhone, iPad, Watch all fine, however on my MBP I receive the alert, and the badge on the app - but no messages when opening the app. I'm also unable to send any messages through my MBP. I've ensured all settings are correct, logged in and out several times, tried syncing...no luck. Anyone having this issue or know of a fix?

I recall a screen when I first installed Catalina that offered an option to choose not to upgrade messages until later ( when the other devices are on iOS13 / iOS iPad - etc.
Not sure if this could be the issue - but I choose the option to "not update"
Maybe the Catalina version of messages does not sync well other earlier iOS devices and MacOS?
Just a thought? - maybe others have more info
