Well the other day I was having problems charging my 2020 MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar, anyway, I hit restart to see if it would help, never restarted, cant get it to turn on now, I have AppleCare thru April 2024, but is there anything I can do to avoid making the claim? Also if I can't does anyone know how much it would be to get it fixed? Thanks for any help.

If the repair is covered by AppleCare, then nothing. It will only cost if the repair isn't covered by AppleCare (like liquid damage).

Any idea on how much it'll cost with AC?
AC is great, unless accidental damage as noted by kitKAC, it will be free. Also, in cases when I needed to use it, they fixed my MBP within 3-4 days, for example dropped off on Friday afternoon and picked up Monday afternoon.

I’ve got a similar issue only without Apple care. I went away for a week, left it turned off and unplugged and now after being back for 2 days and plugged in, it won’t turn on 🥺 any advice much gratefully received as I don’t want to take it to Apple and pay half a MacBook price to be repaired if I can help it!
