So I’m seeing a problem with the Up Next in the TV app after updating to tvOS 13.1 and iOS 13.1.

Up Next isn’t syncing across devices in real time after updating to tvOS 13 and iOS 13. So if I delete or add something to my Up Next on my iPad, iPhone or Apple TV, the change won’t reflect in the Up Next on the other devices on the same account. To see the change I have to close the Apple TV app (swipe up in app switcher) and open it again. Then the Up Next changes will show up. This seems to be a refresh problem as searching for the item I deleted gives me the option to add it to my Up Next.

In tvOS 12 and iOS 12, any change I made to the Up Next on one device showed up within a few seconds on the others.

Another new thing I’ve noticed in iOS/tvOS 13 is that any new episodes for TV shows which won’t play because the app needed to play them isn’t installed, won’t show up in the Up Next on that device. For example there was a new episode of “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” and it showed up in Up First on my iPad which has the TBS app installed. It didn’t show up on my Apple TV or iPhone. When I installed the TBS app on my Apple TV it showed up.

That’s not how it used to work. Things would show up in the Up Next whether or not there were any apps installed that could play it. Selecting it would prompt to download the app that could play it. In fact there are a bunch of older items in my Up First that got added under iOS and TVOS 12 which I don’t have apps installed to play on my iPhone, yet they are still listed.

Can anyone confirm either of these as a problem?

I just had my Up Next completely disappear from my iPhone. I had to log out of iTunes and back in to get it back. Up Next seems flakey in 13.

This totally stopped working for me. I only see Apple TV+ stuff which I want to watch. But not the movies and shows I’ve saved
