So, i have been trying for the past two days to try to get my xbox 360 controller hooked up with my air and cant get it working.

I have os x 10.6.7, i have the latest tattiebogle driver installed and i am using the wireless gaming receiver with a wireless xbox 360 controller. They appear to sync but i the driver still shows no devices found, the controller just blinks all four positions around the center and the receiver stays solid green.

I have done a bunch of looking around and cant seem to work this out. I could use some help if others have done this successfully. I feel like i may be overlooking something simple but i just don't know what.

any help or ideas on troubleshooting (perhaps i got a faulty receiver?) would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

Theres a good tutorial for the driver for the wii mote called Darwiin remote and that works well, but i dont think it will be easy to play SNES and N64 games on it teh wii mote... also i cant seem to set up darwiin remote to be two player so that is a super bummer... i will update this thread as i get updates

my next steps are to try to hook the wireless receiver up to a PC that i have, to check if the hardware is the fault, if that works on the PC...i am also going to see if someone has a usb xbox controller and try to hook that up without the receiver...

one thing and this is because i am new to macs, the tattiebogle software says in its header that it is 32-bit...that should be compatible with my air correct?

I wish I could be of more help - but maybe this can point in you the right direction.

On my MBA 11" - I was trying to get bioshock to run with wired 360 controller. I eventually got it to work, but it's been quite a while.

1 - 99% sure has to be WIRED controller, not even a wireless one with the dongle thing plugged in.

2 - the driver that everyone claims to work, I had to search for a version that was like 5 versions below the current one on the website.

Hope this helps
