Hello,
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help with an issue I am having connecting using an iMac as a monitor for my MacAir. I have checked the Target Display Mode guidance https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204592 and it would appear that this should work.
I am trying to connect the MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2012) to an iMac (27-inch, late 2013) with this mini displayport to mini displayport thunderbolt cable http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HNF0L...m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0S52G3X0XNJ4QC3PDM7Z.
This appears to be possible using (Command+F2) given these devices and their respective configurations but I am having no luck. I have a standard iMac wireless keyboard and have checked in settings that nothing wierd is happening with the keys.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you :) Jamie

The late 2013 iMac requires Thunderbolt for Target Display Mode. You'll need a Thunderbolt cable, a Mini DisplayPort cable such as the one you linked above won't work.
