Hi, I tried to connect these devices from MBP 16". The machine does not detect the printer via wifi. My PC and MBP 2010 do. Apple Chat agent said it is HP's problem, not theirs. Then, I mentioned that some keys on the Magic Keyboard are not responsive. I have changed batteries and it works fine with my other machine. Apple Chat agent said it is strange.

From the internet, it seems that Catalina has issues with some bluetooth devices and some HP printers because it is too new. Am I right?

Hi, yep same here. I would like to admit that I also have a similar Bluetooth issue after upgrading to Catalina.

Have you tried deleting the Bluetooth preferences on your affected mac? maybe it may work on you.

Click on ‘Go’ in the top menu, then ‘Go to Folder…’. then type in ‘/Library/Preferences’.
find ‘com.apple.Bluetooth.plist’ then delete it. If you are not comfortable you may save a copy on your desktop.

Then restart. Your mac will create a new plist file for your Bluetooth

Concerning the Apple Bluetooth keyboard, one thing to try would be to create another user account, log into that and try pairing the keyboard. If it works, you know that there's something bungled in your regular user account's configuration settings, maybe the file that duanepatrick mentioned, maybe something else.

HP writes the drivers for their hardware not Apple. You need to contact HP support about what you can expect from them going forward.

My recollection is that 30 years ago printer manufacturers were responsible for drivers. Then, Apple included many printer drivers in Mac OS. So now they revere the responsibility back to printer manufacturers?
