Issues when installing XP Pro on MBP

i got my new mbp core 2 duo 2.16 last week and i'm trying to install boot camp. however, when i use the xp pro sp2 install cd, i'm prompted to type <ENTER> to start the installation process. when i type <ENTER>, nothing happens. why could that be?
is it because my xp cd is flawed or because i need to have an additional driver?

That happens with me too, BootCamp doesn't recognize the CD. Just reboot while holding down 'C' and it should boot into the install disk.

see, exactly when i hold down the 'C' key i get into that strange installation process where i'm asked (already by a windows system), to press <ENTER> ... when i reboot after that, still holding down 'C', the same thing happens again. did you have the same issue?

Oh, do you mean after you do the initial install? You don't boot from the CD after that. Instead hold the Option key and select the Windows image to boot into Windows to finish the install.

i was reading about bootcamp on apple and it said you have to be careful when manualing selecting the C: drive because you could accidentally delete all your mac files... how do you go about doing it so you don't delete all the mac files?

Also, can you adjust the HD space for each partition after you have already installed windows?

use a keyboard if you got one laying around i ran into that problem and it worked, and as far as fishys question no you cant change the size of the partion without a format
