Hello guys,

I hope you're having a good time.

I'm having issues with my refurbished iPhone and would like your feedback.

I originally purchased an iPhone 7 in December of 2016. In November of 2017 I took my phone to Apple for a random check up. The guy said that due to Bluetooth connectivity issues, I am eligible for a new refurubished phone. Although I didn't really notice the Bluetooth issues, but I thought, "hey, it's a new phone, why not!".

Eight months into using the refurbished phone, issues began appearing out of no where. Primarily, I can no longer speak through the phone. I have to use a Bluetooth all the time. The camera rarely works. I lose connection a lot of times. It's becoming like a brick. When I took the phone to Apple for check up, the only solution they provided was replacing the phone with another refurbished one.

I genuinely don't think it's fair to have to pay for another refurbished phone. I had already paid a huge sum for the 126 GB when I originally bought it!

I don't know what to do and would appreciate any help. Do you think if I contact Apple support they'd be willing to help?

Thank you,
J|M

I am sure that they would be willing to help you if your replacement phone was provided a one year limited warranty. To the best of my knowledge, refurbished devices come with a ninety-day warranty. I could be mistaken, but it really depends on what your warranty status is.

Outside of that, I am sure that they would be more than willing to work on or replace your phone at your expense.

Prior to doing all of that,I would highly recommend taking the time to do a full restore in DFU mode through iTunes and set the phone up as new. That tends to solve a whole lot of issues, and judging from what you are describing, you are having some serious software bugs. Hardware does not tend to fail en masse like that unless there has been some type of water intrusion or severe damage inflicted to the phone by some other means.

iPhone 7's have a known issue with the logic board and Apple recently initiated a repair program for it. Sounds like it might be your problem so I'd contact Apple or bring it to a store.

Edit: Nevermind. That might only be applicable for a 'no service' issue.
