iPhone X Issues with android group texts

I've had this happened about a month ago. I know one, of my friends has encountered this as well. (iPx) I don't know, if it's an iOS/iMessage issue, carrier/network or to being an iPhone X. Seems like deleting the group text and restarting a new group text conversation/thread with the same people works. My feeling, is that the group text thread gets so long at times, iMessage wigs out. Only thing I can think of. I have seen other articles dated back, it's a known issue with iPhones & Android devices group texting; for some users.
