my wife just bought the new 15" MBP with touch pad - she had the store install bootcamp with Windows. When she uses the windows partition she starts having issues with the screen going black and flickering like its trying to go to sleep. As long as youre touching a key or using the trackpad you can see the screen, but the minute you stop touching it it goes black. Ive turned off all power save and sleep options to "never" in the windows partition - this didnt help.

Shes running Sierra 10.12.3 on the mac partition.

Thanks!

Its a power setting in the Intel graphics. I cant remember exactly what it was called. We have 3 mac book pro's all with the same issue. BTW the new Yoga pros have the same problem.

Did you find a way to correct it? Or is this just a known issue to deal with for a while?

This fix may work, but it's better to just go to the Graphics Options > Power tab of the Intel HD Graphics application, and disable 'Display Refresh Rate Switching' directly from the 'On battery' panel.
