I noticed all of a sudden, I can’t access my HomeKit schlage lock from within the schlage app (uses Apple TV to connect to home router). I also cannot access any of my HomeKit related devices while out on LTE or another WiFi network other than the home network the devices and Apple TV are connected to. Is this an iOS beta issue or a tvOS beta issue. Running the newest betas on both.

I am able to connect from an outside network to my ecobee thermostat without issue using the ecobee app however when I try through the Apple Home app it fails to connect. Leads me to believe it’s a tvOS or HomeKit bug.

Also happens to me with my August Smart Lock. Didn't try the ecobees, as I use the native app for those.
I think maybe the devices need a firmware upgrade after iOS 11 is released.

I’m having a similar issue but only on one device. Does your hub show connected or standby? My work phone shows both of my Apple TVs in standby. My personal phone and iPad both work.

I have Hue, Lutron, and ecobee and can see all of my devices. The only part not working at the moment is the automation to turn lights on an hour before sunset. It worked for a while but with betas on my devices and AppleTv I guess I killed it for now. I have removed and added it back several times. Not the point of the topic here.....I can see my devices from outside the house.

My automation still prompts me to run however fails to unlock the lock because it’s unreachable. However on my home network, native apps and Home app work fine. It’s when I’m on LTE or another WiFi where they won’t connect.

If you have not, restart your AppleTv or iPad, whichever is the host. I assume you have already but this is the typical fix for me. Updates have been making mine difficult to keep running at times.

Haven't experienced these issues.

It's always been a risk using beta builds of the OS, now the stakes are even higher as we get more reliant on things like HomeKit for our daily lives.
