I have an issue with the Intel Graphics on my MacBook Pro 16. I experience some micro stutter on the UI and especially when browsing the web. If I Uncheck the box next to “Automatic graphics switching” and only use the AMD Gpu the MacBook is buttery smooth. Ive tried a fresh OS install, and the beta 3 of Catalina, and beta of Safari without improvement. A friend of mine has the MacBook Pro 15 2018 model and he doesn't have the same issue.

Any suggestion here ? Is this a hardware problem or could it be a Cataina problem ?

Same issue here, the only thing I can do is uncheck the automatic graphics switching, and Im sure next couple software Update will fix it.

For me this was caused by the in-built graphics.

I fixed it by running the following command:

Code:
sudo pmset -c gpuswitch 1

Which addresses the issue by forcing the discrete GPU when connected to power. Although this only works when on power.

This issue has plagued the MacOS for a long time - Certainly since 10.13 - see screenshot with all the issues I've raised with Apple, and it's never been fixed - present with several machined.

The problem seems to be that PowerNap wakes the screen when notification alerts are displayed, this sometimes crashes the driver and is jerky/choppy from then on., sometimes sleeping and waking a few times will fix it....eventually...

They kept on closing them, saying the issue was resolved - it never had been - personally I think that they just didn't seem to understand how to replicate the issue.

And they are aware that it's still happening in 10.15.4
