issues with iOS 9

I downloaded iOS 9 today and all the features showed up except the contact pictures on the messages app. anyone know why?

I also noticed that the iPad does not have the nice Spotlight features. Swiping from left to right on the home screen does nothing where on the iPhone it shows recommended contacts and searches. Also the siri suggestions that show when you swipe down are not there on the iPad.

Only works on iPhone 6 or later and only if you are using standard (and not zoomed) view.
