Ever since I updated to iOS 11.2 my mail has been annoying. If I send for example 7 emails to my trash only 2 or 3 show up. At first I would leave the app open and return later and a few more show up. It has gotten to the point where it doesn’t do that anymore. Anyone else having this problem?

Not the same but the Mail app will fetch mail then just as you start to read them it will refresh and they all disappear. You then have to quit the App and do a manual fetch which takes ages. By this time I have gone over to the Yahoo Mail App.

It would seem this problem is isolated to guys with beards. :D (I have one too). I find that if you select a few for deletion, and you switch away from the mail app while it is "working" (the spinning internet activity wheel), for some reason they won't all get deleted. However if you wait a second or 2 for it to finish working, the mails will delete as expected. I've noticed this behaviour since iOS 10.x myself. Agreed, it is annoying.

I’m aware of the deletion issue. My issue is selecting from my inbox and sending them to the trash. Not all of the emails selected go to the trash but they also aren’t visible in the inbox. So to me it seems like they never get deleted and it has me wondering if it is taking up space somewhere.

Interesting ....
I'll have to look. When I send an email to trash I never check my trash to see if it arrives ....
Now I have had emails I sent to trash show back up in the inbox. Then again I have seen that issue prior to iOS 11 ....

Update: No beard. Never could grow one.

I also have a beard. This issue has existed for me for several IOS releases. It seems to take a while for things to go to trash - probably communicates back to actual email system

My email is also screwed up. It won’t even show new emails, I have to go to the yahoo app to get it now.

Mail.app is so annoying recently!
I use outlook with Apple mail app and it’s not working properly...

For example it doesn’t load any mails from the folders (like “important”) where I put some mails into.

Since iOS 11.x, apple has disabled auto or scheduled updation of any folder other than Inbox for mail accounts not supporting push.

By accident I found the solution.
For some reason you can enable push for every folder on the settings.
By default it’s just activated for Inbox (at least in my case)

I know that push can be enabled for any folder other than Inbox.
The problem is updation of folders when the mail Account is not supporting push.
For such non push mail accounts, you cannot auto update folders other than Inbox. Also, no notification will be generated for those folders even if they are updated manually.

Oh too bad but which provider do you have?

The Mail app has been broken since iOS 10. Don't waste your time with that app. I decided to use another app for email.

Makes you wonder though... I use Airmail and Polymail and since 11 I have had issues with them. Both vendors are working hard to fix but the issue appears to originate from iOS.
Still, they are better than stock. Unfortunately I have to use that one for work mail :(

While it seems like some are having some issues with it (as is really the case with a lot of things with most releases), it seems like the app works just fine for many, as it did before.

There was a time when I used to read all the complaints that people used to have with their devices in this forum, I thought it was because they were not using their device properly, while at the same time my Apple devices used to function flawlessly, until the day that it happened to me.

Things certainly happen here and there. It doesn't really change much as far as what I mentioned.
