Looking to see if someone can help me or, at the least, if others are experiencing the same issues as I am with the Mail app on the Mac. I use outlook for email but use the Apple mail app instead of the web or the outlook app. Often times if I delete an email in my inbox on my phone, my MBP will make a ding noise (as if I have a new email) after the email has been moved to the trash. I believe that sometimes I hear the same ding noise if I delete the email directly from my MBP. Any fixes, or anyone experiencing the same issue?

This isn’t the proper sub forum, but I’m going crazy over Mail issues on iOS 13. Anytime I send an email, it appears twice in my sent folder. And sometimes emails won’t appear in my sent or archive folders that were sent or archived on my Mac (and vis-a-vis). It’s driving me bananas, and has been going on since 13.0.

Replace with what? I am 81 and did most of my programming in grad school in the late 60's. Is there just a better app?

On mobile I use Gmail app and on macOS I still use Mail, but it hurts. I just try to manage my emails on mobile.

For a single mail account use web mail.

I have a family Office365 account. No ads, superior spam protection and 50gigs email storage (outlook.com).

Where is the sense of urgency from this company? Between iOS 13 and Catalina bugs, Apple doesn't have a fire under it's ass to solve any of these bugs that should have never been live when they launched on September 19th and October 7th. It's November 8th and non of the ongoing Mail issues have been resolved on either platform. When cracks like these begin to show and a company doesn't rush to fill the gaps, it's a sign. Apple's checked out, they're losing focus, and they don't care about quality like they used to. What a shame.

It's indeed a shame, but to be fair, the Mail app has always been buggy.

It drives me nuts, especially the Rules feature. I like to have my accounts separated by color and even that simple thing doesn't work properly. I mean, how hard is it to implement reliable Rules for emails? That's ridiculous.

But yeah, Apple is all about money and these days they are pretty weak at pretending they aren't.

I have trouble with my Flagged Messages box disappearing all the time. My flagged messages remain in my inbox, but I have to select one of them to have the mailbox reappear. I also have two "On My Mac" Archive mailboxes. If I delete one, they both go away and only my iCloud Archive box remains. If I archive an email not from iCloud, but from my FUSE account it creates two "On My Mac" Archive boxes. All of this is since upgrading to Catalina

Don't get me started on Apple Mail's flag issues.
5 indicated on the far top right but when selected only 3 display.
