istat pro: which temps should i be monitoring?

istat has a whole bunch of different temperatures that it monitors...heatsinks, cpu, hd...which ones are important to monitor and which are unnecessary to monitor?

also, what's with all the memory descriptions? wired, etc. i'm coming from windows so i'm not familiar with this terminology.

I would monitor CPU, Heatsinks, and maybe HD or memory. I know Free Memory is how much can be used. Dunno much about the others.
