macOS iSub Driver

Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible for me to create my own driver for my 5 year old iSub. The makers don't make drivers for this, since the drivers are usually incorporated into the OS. You see, the iSub doesnt work with the Intel Macs because apple has apparently stopped including the dirver in the OS. I'm hoping that they'll fix this when Leopard comes out, but for now, how would i be able to make my own driver??
Note that I'm a total newb when it comes to programming.... But i can learn fast!

Bite the bullet and buy new external speakers. The overall sound quality will be much better with 2.1 externals.

Programming a USB-audio device driver for OS X is not "easy."

And if you insist on making a driver, there may be one in the Darwin (the UNIXy parts of Mac OS X) open source files.

Apple moved the Darwin sources to a new web site, I think it is http://www.macosforge.org or something now, but it has been down for ever.

hey, thnx! i've found an index of darwinsource stuff. some of them are related to isub. i just dont know what to do with all that writing that pops up. where do i copy and paste it to?

Terminal.app most likely.

But if you don't know what you're doing, I wouldn't suggest willy-nilly copying & pasting unknown commands into the Terminal. It could be disasterous. At least back up first.

I seem to remember my iSub working just fine on my MBP. ?

yeah, it works on PPC's but not on Intel-based Macs.
I'm not desperately longing for using my iSub, I just wish i could have some better quality sound from time-to-time.
i wont risk typing unknown commands into terminal, its ok. thnx anyway

Hey, got anything working? 'Cause i'm also trying to make my iSub work on an intel mac and i'm a total n00b at programming at any level, even when it come to copy'n'paste in the terminal....
