Ive been relying on my iPad Pro so much, I was doing some work on my MacBook Pro the other day, and I touched the screen. I actually thought something was wrong for a second when nothing happened. You’d think I’d learn my lesson fast? Happened 3 more times in the same session.

This happen with other people? Lol

Yes. I tend to touch MacBook screen when window shopping Apple store. Fantastic cause nothing happens and I keep trying to touch.

With the insane amount of input-blocking Apple puts in their OS, no one can blame you for repeatedly trying.

I do double tap the space bar and expect a full stop. But no touching the screen is not something I do. Though I don’t use an external keyboard on my iPad, so I’m not used to moving my hands from the keyboard to the screen.

I have a windows laptop with a touchscreen so it's not so strange for me. But, in the same vein, I sometimes catch myself trying to zoom in on pictures in books with my fingers and being shocked and disappointed that it doesn't work and that my eyes aren't what they once were... I think we adapt more quickly to technology than we expect.

my idiot friends would touch my MBair screen when i presented a graphic to them since 2010, i guess this is just human nature?

I rid of my macbook and have been ipad pro only for a few years now. But yes! When i use my friends macbook, i CONSTANTLY try touching the screen. It is quite funny.

That’s too funny! :D

Yup, I do that all the time. I find it funny how Apple refuses to add touchscreen support to MacBooks/iMacs yet they're fine encouraging people to use an iPad Pro + Smart Keyboard combo without a mouse.

I knew I couldn’t be the only one. It’s funny how the brain works. Go from an X to an XS Max, and the screen looks HUGE for a day, then go back to the X and that looks tiny.

I have been using my iPad Pro so much, and not using my MacBook Pro nearly as much, I laughed at myself when I did it.

You can do this on macOS.

A couple times, yes. I’ve also reached for a mouse when using my iPad on a stand haha. It’s just whatever I was using last that my brain gets used to.

I do it with my Asus but it's because I have Dell touch screen laptop at work. I know what is my usage for laptop that has touch screen (because of the company one) so I catch myself trying do mimic this with my personal laptop that does not have touch.

Before receiving the touch screen laptop I did not try at all because I did not relate laptop to touch screen.
