Just dropped my iPhone 3G and the whole front is shattered

Luckily my upgrade is due this year and I'll be getting the new one when it comes out, but until then what is the best/cheapest option in my case?

go to ur carrier's store and look for the cheapest phone they have that you like

No.....

It's cheaper to go to Best Buy and buy a cheap AT&T Pay as you go phone.

My wife's phone broke (not an iPhone), and the AT&T Store employees told me to go to Best Buy instead of buying one of their phones. They were right- we were able to buy a basic Samsung phone at Best Buy for $20-30.

This is the place I used last time.

Very professional and fast turnaround.

Hmm, I may look into that. Then again, I may just purchase a self repair kit for under $20 and do it myself...

I've seen those at Walmart too...you don't have to buy a card do you? Just throw my SIM, cancel my iPhone plan, and good to go?

OP if you're under warranty then it's possible you may be able to replace it for $200. I could be wrong.
eBay is a great alternative though.

Serious?
From the rules:
Things Not to Do
These are usually not instantly bannable - but will likely get you edited and/or warned.

Useless posts. Do not bother making posts with only one or two words (e.g., LOL) or a smilie, or post simply to have the first reply in a thread. Such posts waste everyone's time and will be deleted. Posts saying "I agree", "+1", "me too", or the equivalent are also routinely removed.

just look around on craigslist for a shop near you....thats the easiest solution......walk in hand them your phone they fix it and it costs between $70-$100 and depending on the shop you should be in and out in in 10 minutes

That was unlike you. I hope you're not trying to get banned.

I don't have to try to get banned. Everyone else can run their mouth, but I can't.

Actually, I don't care if I get banned anyways. I wouldn't be missed by anyone.

No you don't have to buy a card. You buy the phone, stick your sim in it, and you're good to go.

I'm not sure about the canceling of the iPhone plan part though. I would imagine that you can cancel the data plan if you aren't using an iPhone anymore.
