Hello guys,
I just got an old IMac A1311, a 21.5-inch, i5-2500, 8GB RAM, and 500GB HDD with High Sierra OS X.
It worked fine with the original HDD but was too slow to stay with. Thus, I replaced it with a new SSD.
Since the new SSD doesn't have a thermal sensor, I did the thermal sensor bypass trick, and the picture is right.
For the bypass trick, I had to take the mainboard out and solder the pins 6 and 7 following the link.

Here are some extra works I did.
- Replace the thermal grease for CPU and GPU
- Clean up all dust from three cooling fans, PSU, ODD, and all corners inside the case
After all the cleaning I assemble all the parts back to the original position and connect to the power outlet.
Unfortunately, there was no sound of power or signals at all.
Did I do some wrong with the bypass trick or anything else you could advise me?
Could you help me out?
Thank you,
Un.
