Apple scored a legal victory today when the U.S. International Trade Commission ruled that HTC had violated two of its patents.

The ITC judge's initial determination was that HTC infringed on two of the 10 patents Apple had filed a complaint over, according to an HTC statement. A loss carries the threat that HTC's products would be banned from coming into the U.S., and Apple only needs to get a favorable decision on one of the patents.
HTC said it would appeal the decision.
"HTC will vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal before the ITC Commissioners who make the final decision," said Grace Lei, general counsel for HTC. "This is only one step of many in these legal proceedings."

Of course.

Apple was first to the market with the iPhone. And then all the look-aliked magically appeared out of nowhere.

The first (of likely many) difficulties Google and the box-makers will face from here on in.

Are we going to be told what two patents the ITC thinks were violated by HTC?

I would not be surprised if they are pretty minor ones and depending on the results could cause Google to step in. From what I have been reading Google has been keeping quite not because it is not backing it partners but more waiting for the right moment to step in and holding its cards close to its chest.

Probably the ones that justify blocking HTC's imports. So they're probably critical, whatever they are.
Considering that was not stated it safer to assume others wise.
It sad LTD you clearly want everyone but Apple fail.
