just out of curiosity...

how many of you have cut back on iTMS purchases after receiving your first credit card bill?

i imagine a buck here, a buck there and voila, a month later, your bill is much higher!

[edit] i realize everyone has different credit billing cycle, but still... one-click is a bit too easy to drop $$$ without really realizing the consequences, no? [\edit]

My CC bill hasn't increased one cent. Two reasons. First, I don't have a CC :)

Second, whenever I open iTMS, I get the "not available in your country" message.

Completely unrelated, but I'm sitting here typing and all of a sudden it's appearing on the screen really slow, might be time for a reboot (or maybe just restart Safari). OK scrolling's slow too :(

Edit: And now it's fixed itself

About $15. And there's nothing left on the site that I want to buy...

But when those indie labels hit.... It'll be debtor's prison for me.

I use the Shopping Cart instead of the One-Click Method in the iTMS. That way you can see the total cost and see if you really want the songs that you put into the Shopping Cart. I love the iTMS!

Ditto here for the last reason. I have a credit card though....Apple don't seem to want to expend much effort towards letting me use though. They seem more intent on letting the great unwashed (windows users) have an Apple service rather than their own international customers. The windows folk have no loyalty to Apple and given the choice of stealing stuff through Kazaa or paying Apple a dollar guess which one they'll choose.

Do you really believe that's the case? That Apple has little interest in offering iTMS to its worldwide customers?

From what I've read, the problem lies with the record companies and the artists. It took a lot of convincing to get the domestic deal worked out. It will take a lot more to get the international one worked out.

Sometimes legal/financial takes longer to solve than technological.

just curious, how do you know they're not trying to get it worked out for international users?

i think the only legitimate reason you could have is their past lack of concern for getting services worldwide (sherlock, .mac)...

i just thought that it's funny (in a bit of a cruel way for people outside the U.S.) how many junk credit card offers me and my roommates get every single week.
in the U.S., i bet it's possible to get a credit card even if you are dead! :D

only if we could figure out a way for people outside the States to get a credit card with a "fake" U.S. address... iTMS for everyone!!
