State of Denial
So IronMan 2 hits stores tomorrow and I was planning on buying the BR/DVD/ Digital copy combo, but then I get to thinking; Chances are I'll probably watch the BR once and then put the digital copy onto everything else.

So what gives a better picture, the ITMS purchase or the Digital copy from the disc?

Thanks.

Looks like now there is an option on ITMS for HD so I'll do that.

I know it's not the same quality as BR but I hate buying physical media anymore.

Yes the digital copy that is provided is the same one the iTunes store sells but it's the SD version. I learned the hard way, thinking if I bought a blu-ray with digital copy, it would give me the HD version if available from iTunes, turns out that's not the case :(. I figured it wouldn't have but until I had actually tried it. I wasn't sure.

But:
I convert all my Blu-Rays to mp4 anyways and watch via Apple TV.
As he said, I do the same thing, that way I'm not DRM locked into apple hardware. Incase I do want to get a boxee box or something else to play my media in the future. If it wasn't DRM'd I'd buy it from iTunes. Also this gives me the ability to re-encode my video for 1080p/HD audio when apple finally releases support for it in a future version of hardware/software. :D
