I'm trying to download a song from the iTunes music store (a few, in fact), and I've set up my account, but when I click "Buy Song" it says "Your Account Information Has Changed, Please Verify and Click OK", so I click OK, and then attempt to download the song again.

Then I get the same message, and it does it everytime I click Buy Song.

Anyone any ideas?

Check if you have filled in the start date for your credit/debit card. It should read 'none/none'. I had the same problem because i kept trying to put in the start date of my card. ITMS only requires the expiry date for your card so you should leave it at none/none.

Hi Mark;

There are some problems with iTunes payment systems right now, I myself am having similar problems (my SOLO debit card will not be accepted by iTunes)

There are lots and lots and lots of people with similar problems as you too, best thing to do is sit it out and wait for Apple to fix it.

You can view more about these problems on the Apple Disscusion borads, here is a link to one talking about it:

http://discussions.info.apple.com/webx?14@127.OzW7aBHcpyh.1@.6894f7b0

Keep an eye out on that thread, it seems to be the most upto-date about the problems, hopefully Apple will have it sorted in a few days.

Hope that helps ya out.

Speaking of problems with the UK store - what's with the inconsistencies in price. Looking at the top 100 albums it seems the £7.99 per album idea isn't exactly set in stone. There seem plenty of albums at £7.90, £8.69, £8.99... what's up with that? Searching for the Smiths yeilds 1 album 'The Smiths', however it only has 3 tracks from the album (must be something about licencing surely)... Anyway, it's £8.69 for this incredibly incomplete album.

From what I've seen all (except things like double albums) albums on the US store are the same price, so why don't we have this consistency?? Does this mean we're gonna start paying £.50 for some songs and £.99 for others? I ruddy well hope not!

All albums on the US iTMS are not the same price. Many new releases (and old releases, too) are much higher than 9.99. Take a look at the new Beastie Boys album on the US store, for example ($14.85).

There are no single tracks, however, that cost more than 99 cents. Songs over 7 minutes may be listed as 'album only' and may not be for sale separately (at the artist's/label's discretion).

Haven't looked in the top 100 but i have seen a few albums priced below £7.99. I imagine pricing is something out of Apple's control and most of the pricing input comes from the record companies.

Check you county. I had 'Herts' and it wouldn't accept it at all until I entered 'Hertfordshire'. It's very picky and it's a not a pull-down so you have to guess the correct form.

If you have .mac go there and check your account settings as the correct names for the counties are there.

Well, i"ve been trying to buy the beastie boys album on the uK store, but it won't let me buy the explicit version, saying that it is no longer available. Also the explicit version seems to lack a track 5, what is going on here? I don't want to buy a full album and find a track is missing.
