Hi,

I'm a developer for Copper Starfish (www.copperstarfish.com) and we have a new game out soon called iTouch It.

Action balls drop from the top of the screen which requires the player to perform an action ("Touch It", "Swipe It", "Whip It", "Drop It", "Lift It", "Hold It", "Double Touch") within the short required time. The speed of the game increases with time and if the player performs the wrong action or doesn't perform the action in time - game over. The aim of the game is to perform as many actions as possible without an error to obtain the highest score.

Application Page: www.copperstarfish.com/apps/itouch-it

You-Tube Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIqQZtfHlyY

I'll try and get some codes on here once the app is approved (in the code sub-forum of course!), but I thought I'd try and get an idea of what people thought of the game? Really hope you like it!

Many Thanks

Chris

Looks like an awesome app! Any idea when you will get promo codes? I'll be sure to give it a good review.

bought it.... im loving it.... 5 stars~!!!!

heyyyy.... , i tried to play it on my touch, and it said i need a second generation touch, WHY did you leave us 1 gen users OUT!??!?!?!

I downloaded the app, and I've been playing around with it, I noticed that there isn't any pause feature. Would it be possible to do this? Other than that, awesome app! Thanks.

Hey, Chris, congrats on the new game! I'm already addicted. I hope the addiction will last. It kinda reminds me of Fingeric, but yours is much funner. :D

P.S. I'll submit a review in a few.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the comments!

Please, consider the following:

- Pause, Resume, End
- World Bragboard

Otherwise, awesome game!

We're looking into something like openfeint to enable a global score system so this is looking very likely in v2.

We thought about a pause button, but were in two minds about it. We thought if we did end up with a global scoreboard it might encourage people to keep pushing pause to work out which action they needed to do. Seeing as part of the fun is about keeping your concentration, it's been left out. Sorry!

Part of the game is about the beat of the music and the voice telling you the action so we uploaded it to the store marked as 2nd gen ipod touch. Do you think the music and voice would be missed by people with 1st gen? If so we may change it. Stock411, send an email to support@copperstarfish.com and we'll try and sort something out for you.

We're a little miffed about the app store release. We marked the submission with a release date of 28th August. It was approved on the 24th but wasn't available until the 28th (as we expected).
Problem is that the app is now marked as released on the 24th and so is a few pages in on iTunes. This means we missed out on valuable front (or even 2nd) page exposure. Written to Apple but waiting to hear from them. So far only had what seems to be an automated response. Hey-Hum.

Have any other developers experienced this?

Glad you're enjoying the game, there's more to come in future versions.

Cheers

Chris

This is the intended behavior, the iTunes date is the min (approval date, iTunes connect date).

P.S.
Nice idea ;)

chriss does the game require you to talk to it using the mic? or is it talking to us and giving us instructions?

because if the game doesnt require the user to talk to it, then it can work on the 1G, but if there is a part of the game where it is like "speak it" then no because the first generation ipod touch does not have a mic....

sorry i cant email, someone hacked into my email account :(

It does give instructions (albeit, similar to what's displayed on screen), and there's a drum track playing in the background. We're looking into changing this on the app store, but of course 1st gen touch users will need headphones.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. Had some really good reviews written on the various app stores and really please with how people are finding it.

Sorry for butting in. No, the user does not talk to the game. It's the other way round: the game talks to you by giving various commands. :)

Hi, Just thought I'd let you all know that a new version of iTouch It has been released, and it includes a global leader board and achievements through OpenFeint.

The links are above, but I'll post them again, iTouch It
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=327243807&mt=8

...and the lite version...
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=327244019&mt=8

We hope you're enjoying the game.
Paul
Cheers, Paul! I absolutely love the game! So addictive!

Glad you like it - still. Not sure I've seen you on the leader board yet, my best is 200'ish. I'm soooooo wanting to be top.... Maybe I'm just not co-ordinated enough.

We're still considering what to do with the Pause. It's just one of those things we think, that although very useful, just might spoil the game. Believe me, the conversations have been ongoing and heated (well, luke warm, but that's hot for us :0)

And since loyalty like that shouldn't go unpunished, I'll try and find a way of getting a promo-code to you so you can hand it off to a friend (or 2). Unless you'd prefer a promo code to our other app, Charades4All?

Cheers, Paul
