I have yet to try affinity, I hear great reports from it. I have the subscription to CC, took the plunge once apple killed Aperture. I hate the sub model but it works well and they seem to be working hard to get things working on various platforms so i'll stick by them for now.

The only other way seems Capture One/ Affinity

Yeah, if you’re in the Adobe loop it’s a no brainier.( when it arrives) ..I use Adobe products for work but really like the UI of Affinity Photo/Designer on IOS, feels more modern and slick overall...and the one off payment is great!

Im still getting my files merged into LR from various hard drives, I really should take a look at Affinty, I'm sure I'll buy it soon enough just to have in the arsenal. Looking forward to IPAD editing in a more pro way, I found using astropad I could work with the pencil in photoshop but the cost (ongoing subscription also) astropad cost too much for what it did. I would like to think that one of apples updates in the future would enable more IPAD/Wacom like support on the Mac.

I was drunk then. But, as soon as I woke, and scraped myself up, I stumbled a few times then promptly posted this. This was as quick as I could be on this day.

But yes I am looking forward to the release, glad it is on the horizon.
