I made the same mistake..said thursday instead of tuesday.
Correct me if i'm wronging,does Apple switched its release ,(if today is not just
maintenance),to wednesday from tuesday?in your opinion and experience i mean.

Ultra-low voltage CPUs required for the new MBA seem to be delayed so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I actually hope it won't be a product update. Big updates such as retina, thinner form factor (MacBook Pro) would probably warrant a WWDC announcement. If they updated the product now, it means that the refreshed components weren't worth a full-blown WWDC introduction.

None of those things have anything to do with a Mac Pro.

I think it is taking too long for it to be a new product. They are probably doing site maintenance. For a new product, don't they usually already have everything ready? I remember when the 4S went up, the store wasn't even down for an hour.

If there is anything major, my guess is back to school promotion. But it seems a little early.

Last couple of Mac product refreshes in 2011 took between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Another possible explanation is that they are doing work to reveal stuff quickly during WWDC, but they did site maintenance just recently on a Sunday. We can only speculate.
