It's about how Apple treats it customers, the very people who privide the revenue for their books. Dont get me wrong, I have loved Apple, but right now I am pissed. I have an 8GB iPhone that was purchased on launch day - but I stand nothing to gain whether or not Apple gives a $200 refund or gift card, my iPhone was a gift. That being said, it should be obvious that im not ranting about "my $200." I do understand that technology changes, and quickly. But people expect more from Apple, thats one reason that they have such a loyal following. But with moves like this, that is going to change. Apple will be nothing more than a small MS... I loved Apple because they take care of their customers, they listen to the consumer. It almost felt like club you joined when you got your first mac, not so much anymore - that image has been tarnished. I urge you to complain to those who can do something about it. Everyone on here can do little but pick a side in this arguement, and its obvious that the people who didnt buy an iPhone in the first couple months arent going to support those who did, make your complaint to Apple. Email them, call them, post on their forums (when they reopen). But dont just complain, let them know how they can fix it and make you a happy and proud Apple customer and supporter again. I dont want Apple to collapse, nor do I see that happening, but they need to know that they made a mistake, they screwed the people who helped them launch this product; and it needs to be fixed.

Another thread?

It is about the $200, or you wouldnt be talking about anything at all.

You bought tech, tech prices always go down, so what if it was quickly this time? Maybe apple took early adopters for all they were worth, but be mad at yourself and not apple for it.

Dangle the carrot...people bit and now want the carrot without a bite in it?

Why are you posting in these threads if this issue doesn't apply to you? Are you really this irritated? Don't Demi-Gods have better things to do? :p

These forums are here for people to express themselves. Obviously this issue is affecting a great number of people who have come here to discuss it. Instead of trying to censor all of this can you simply try to ignore it if you don't feel it applies to you?

Yeah, in about a dozen other threads. That's why people are getting fed up - post in one that's already there instead of cluttering up the forums with another thread whining about the same issue!

That would be "no".

J's point is on point. Yes, we know the price was going to come down EVENTUALLY. But no one outside of Apple knew it would come down so much and so quickly. If you did a poll of potential iPhone buyers on 6/29 and asked the question "Will you buy an iPhone today at $599 if we tell you right now that it will be only $399 on 9/5, two months from now?", I think a lot of iPhone buyers, more than half, would have said "I'll wait".

And that's the problem here. Apple has clearly gouged many of us.

No one in this thread cares about your $200 loss on your $600 investment.

Personally, you could afford $600, you can afford to lose $200.

Suck it up.

Lock this thread already.

Sounds like it is the $200.

How many damn threads do we need with the same whine?

We don't need another thread on this. We know that people are upset for whatever reason. Stop already.
