its not a major change so i dont see why the version/generation would change anyways, i do wonder what will cause the shift from 4 to 5 Gen though, will be fun an interesting to see

Personally, I think the color screened iPods should be 5th gen. However, the fact that they are not 5th gen implies that Apple is working on something bigger.

Im glad to hear it. That would be a big dissapointment for that to be a major update. They will probobly shock us with a awsome update at the paris expo (hopefully)

This has already been posted, but I guess there's nothing wrong with posting it again in case people didn't know. Was this ever really in question though? It's just a price drop and the low end gets the color screen/higher battery life of the former middle iPod. Or the middle end gets a price drop along with it's reduction in capacity, either way you look at it.
