Well, Apple changed their mind today: It's Ipod, not iPod. See #4 on the attachment.

From the Apple Store USA - Top Sellers (right column)

Yes, I know this is a typo! :p The only reason I'm posting this is because it's such a big thing on here sometimes.

he could have written I pod
and the i be capitalized automatically and then noticed and just backspaced to Ipod
lame.

I would have edited my previous post, but it wouldn't let me add an attachment.

Anyway, here is my rebuttal, also from the USA Apple Store:

But a typo on the Apple website? Unlikely.
on the dutch site there is an option for a back lite keyboard.
there clearly isn't
translation error.
apple is human,

omg its official there is copper mbp cases.

i hate things like this

It really bugs me when newspapers spell it Ipod because their software is brainless or their editors can't break with capitalization tradition.

To the OP
Its not such a big thing JUST here but the whole World! Apple has registered trademarks for iPod not Ipod! So this means that Ipod doesnt really exist!

Methinks the OP jests. An example testing the rule.

I'd say the Touch is more fertile ground to be testing the theory, but i'd admit trolling on the iPod name seems to be getting more reaction... :D

Or even worse, I saw I-pod written in my Spanish workbook a while back, and they had this crap MP3 player previewed LOL.

The UK store once put out "iTouch".
