I've been trying to hunt down a 32GB WiFi iPad. I've called all the Apple Stores in New England. None have it. Most places are completely out, but some have the 64 GB WiFi model, and the 64 GB WiFi+3G. All others are completely sold out.

Are any of you guys familiar with and when New Shipments get dispersed to Apple Stores? Like what day of the week they usually come and which stores get priority over the other?

I don't want to order it online because right now the ship times are 7-10 business days.

I picked up the Apple Case for it the other day at an Apple Store. I got lucky because they just had a shipment come in that morning. They were almost completely gone when I got there. (Current ship time for the case online is 3-4 weeks.)

I've had the same exact experience. I just bit the bullet and ordered online. I figure I'll wait a few extra days and ensure that I have one rather than hunt one down when they come in, especially stores with reserve lists that have 40 or 50 people on it.

Gonna kick myself if I see the Best Buy near me have them in stock next week though!

I went to the store, signed up for the model i wanted, and five days later i ihad my ipad.

Reserve at Boylston Street Boston

Since it's the biggest store in the USA it's logical to assume that they'd get more iPads than other stores.

FYI I reserved a 64 GB 3G last Tuesday (05/11) afternoon ... got my pickup email yesterday; a wait of THREE days.

And on Wed they had a SLEW of iPad cases ... on Thursday, about 50 Camera Connection Kits.

And a lovely $30 in sales tax.

I love New Hampshire. :D

Apple stores might be lying to walk-in customers. I canceled my 3G pre-order and went to pick up a 16gb wifi in store. I had called an explained this to an employee on the phone. Then when I got there they tried to tell me they didn't have any 16's. I was like, I just ****ing called. Then they were like, "oh let me check" and came out with one.

Best Buy in North Haven CT had 32GB and 64GB iPad Wi-Fi left last night. I picked up a 32GB and got 18 months no interest when I applied for their credit card.

I was at the Boylston store on Wednesday night and they had about 15 iPad camera connection kits left, after having none on Tuesday. It's definitely true that they receive new stock often and in big amounts, but they also go through it quickly.

I don't think there will be many in old England judging by shipping time extending after the first round of pre-orders.

check out bookstores on college campuses. i spent about a week here in LA looking for one; all the apple stores and best buys were sold out. then i walked into campus bookstore and there was a wall full of them.

just reserve it. I reserved mine at the peabody ma store and had it within 3 days. btw It was the 32gb wifi.

I got it today. Apple Store Derby Street had one. I had signed up for "notify me" so I had it reserved for me. Lucky me they got a shipment in.

Sent from my iPad. :)

Which model did you get? And how long ago did you reserve it?
