I've been with MR for a very long time, and I think it's finally time to admit something... there is no even-handed moderation here. I don't feel like it was always this way. Maybe as the site has made more money, become a business instead of a hobby, who knows-- maybe MR did a focus study finding it best to shut down 'liberals' or 'progressives' because maybe they are smart enough to use the ad blockers the most-- does the reason really matter?? Probably not.
But even in an innocuous front page post like "Apple Delays Corporate Return to Offices Indefinitely," I'm looking at the posts left up (just on page 1 of the comments alone), with huge pictures no less, mocking people who take Covid seriously, or someone living in Nevada making fun of road infrastructure in California.
It's just clear to me that posts like these on page 1 of FP post comment pages are no longer one-offs, it's now the norm.
There have been times where I have even made a slight insinuation of putting down political views on the right, and I'm not only slapped with a warning within seconds or minutes, but my post is removed entirely-- this is doubly true if one even dares mention-- or even insinuate-- the uneven moderation of posts, with much more deference and latitude given to racist and mean ideologies that this country's right is clearly and obviously embracing.
It's pretty sad, but it is what it is. The core Apple base always has been and likely still is left-leaning, but clearly, whoever now counts as the handlers of MR have done the calculus, it's worth pandering to the increasingly hard right among us, regardless if that isn't where the Apple base is. And who knows - maybe the calculus is correct... it's clearly working for OANN, Newsmax, and Fox News (even as they lose their last 'middle of the road' journalist Chris Wallace) because even as they steer farther right than the rest of the country, their revenues continue to increase... but for me and MR, it's just become so obvious here on the forums that it might just be time to leave indefinitely-- and no need to say it because I already know it is coming from the mods here... I promise I won't let the door hit me on the way out.

SMH! This is just sad. Might as well put that Apple campus on sale or how about converting the facility up for COVID patients.
Help fight the virus! Put the campus in use!
