I have IBM PC Desktop, running Windows Vista, with a home LAN, running the latest iTune, and 3 Apple TVs. Periodically , maybe once or twice per month, all 3 Apple TV hard drive are "wiped clean". All the photos, music and videos are erased. This has been happening for at least 2 years. I have a large amount of photos and videos. It is frustrating and very time consuming to rebuild each Apple TV.

Has anyone encountered this issue? If so, how did you resolved?

Thanks.

If the OP has been having the problem for 2 years, it's not a 3.0 problem.

I've never had this happen in the almost 2 years I've had my AppleTV, except early on when I changed a selection in iTunes. I don't remember what I did (something like turning sync off, just to try something), but it erased everything and I had to sync it all again.

Any chance that you're changing something in iTunes that is causing this?

Used to happen to me.

Noticed that it was occuring when I had auto sync on my apple tv and my itunes account was not logged on.

Only sync my apple TV maunally and when my apple ID is showing in itunes.. and not happend since.

Am also on the latest Apple TV too though.
