iTunes 12 crashes a lot

iTunes crashes every few minutes, it won't go an hour without crashing. It happened before and after a clean install, it started after itunes 12.0.1.

Anyone else having problems? Any fix? I'm on a 2013 iMac running Yosemite.

Have you tried starting with a fresh iTunes library and then import your music back into the new library to see if that solves the problem?

Yes, it is a new library. I decided to download some tv series and while doing it it crushes all the time. It seems to happens when I m downloading content, it never happens while listening to music or watching show.

Never had iTunes crash as such, v11 used to use loads of cpu but 12 seems very stable so you def seem to have something odd going on....any error message?
