For the people that want their system (or just their dock) to look consistent with Yosemite, here is the new iTunes 12 icon. (I got it from somewhere else, but I can't find or remember the original creator so, credit to them!)

Edit: Credit goes to ziggy19 at deviantart! http://ziggy19.deviantart.com/art/Yosemite-iTunes-458336130
- Thanks fangio

I love it! Best thing about Yosemite if you ask me. And best thing that happened to that icon since it stopped being green!

basics

- right-click on it on the devianart site, save as...
- you'll get a transparent image in .png format
- open it in preview > select all > copy
- cmd-i on iTunes > select icon in upper left corner
- paste

duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude thank you

New as in, made by Apple or made by some artist who thinks it will look like this?

Loving the new iTunes 12 icon, but the one thing I've been really wishing for is for Apple to merge the iTunes app and the Music app in iOS into one app using the red Music App icon, so there will be true unification between both iTunes apps on both platforms.

Anyway, yea as I already mentioned, great icon :)

I believe that it's made by an artist, based on how it looked in the keynote.
