Hey, so I'm trying to restore my iPhone 4 to 6.1.2 using a custom IPSW in iTunes created by sn0wbreeze, but I get the 1600 error in iTunes.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

1. forget snowbreeze!
2. download iphone IPSW from iclarified
3. connect iphone to itunes via cable
4. place iphone into DFU mode
5. once in DFU mode, in itunes hold down the shift button on your keyboard and select restore on iTunes
6. grab a coffee allowing the iphone to restore
7. set iphone up as a new
8. jailbreak using evasi0n

I think the OP needs to preserve a previous version of the baseband, hence the need for sn0wbreeze to create a custom IPSW.

That said, I can't offer any additional help to the OP. I think I saw another thread in here about just such an issue, though.
