I just downloaded and installed iTunes 4, and when I've tried to open it, I get an error message saying, "The iTunes Music Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to access this file." Any idea what this means, and how I can fix it?

Thanks, Alex

had this too. go to the directory where iTunes stores its music.

open this in a terminal and type

sudo chmod 775 iTunes\ Library*

this should fix all of the iTunes libraries to waork wiith itunes for you. If it doesnt manually do them one by one. But you will need to use the terminal -> Finder doesnt seem to be able to do this.
