so my problem: just updated to itunes 6 and suddenly it lists all the "the bands (the hives the white stripes etc.) all unter "T" and not under the first letter after the "the".. is there any solution to make it sort the same like under iTunes 5 ?

iTunes 6 does ignore the "The". Listing artist in alphabetical order, ignoring the "The".

Hmmm... strange. It doesn't do that in my iTunes 6.0.1 (nor did it under 6.0), e.g. The Clash and The Cult are still listed under C, both while browsing the library or when I sort different playlists by Artist.

You don't have a German version with some weird bug in it?

well it _doesn't_ .. that's why i'm asking ;) ... i know that it _should_ ignore them but it somehow decided not to do it

sorry i forgot:
version 6.0.1
os x 10.3.9

edit: yeah it's a german version.. perhaps i'm just unlucky..

hehe, yeh.

Well... when I checked... I saw "The Smiths" and "The Tea Party" listed after each other... but then I noticed "The Human League" far up the list. Maybe it is something to do with "Der/Die/Das" ? ;)

See what happens if you call them "Die White Stripes" ? etc... ;)

WTF ... believe it or not: (it didn't work with Der/Das)

argh apple how could you.... how do you call that ? "over-localization" ?
